Hi everyone,

There seems to be an increasingly demanding use of technology from childrens of all ages.

How did everyone start giving their children use of technology and how did they control how much time they use on it? Any interesting stories to tell?

I am currently struggling with getting my child off the tablet and start playing with toys rather than staring at a screen for hours and when I try to stop her, she starts fussing!

Hello, by way of introduction my name is James and I am developing a new, exciting children’s toy storage box as part of a university project.

With all new products the first step is to conduct some market research and this is where I’m hoping you can help.

I’m looking to find out some further information on the viability of the product, and the buying preferences of the target audience, which is parents with children aged between 2 and 15.

We got the BT150 after doing some research that was two years ago, it's still working fine for our second baby. We weren't paranoid enough to worry about a video one, seems overkill to me.

Not sure if that model is still available but I'd probably recommend the equivalent BT one since its last model was pretty good..

My aftercare was hit and miss. The labour ward was fab and all the staff were great. I got rushed to the postnatal ward as labour ward was so busy and they needed my room. First night the mw woke me up as DS had pooed but he was fast asleep. Then "helped" me express by attacking my nipples, the next day another me told me my hand expressing was wrong, well the night mw showed me this way! I had to ask to get my cannula removed as it was so painful. The second night was hell as DS just screamed however the mw was so helpful I buzzed her everytime he cried as I didn't know what to do. She was so encouraging and helpful she even helped me sleep and showed me how to co sleep safely. I was adamant I was going home on the Sunday and I did! The ward was so busy with ladies I didn't get much help to bf, DS didn't latch until the Saturday night so I was hand expressing every 3 hours!!

For me, Yes. I have the milkbar and use it all the time. I'm pretty unco with being able to hold a newborn, and my boob, and feed at the same time. I take it with me everywhere in the early days too.

Before I bought it, I was trying yo use 2 normal pillows stacked on top of each other. Too hard.

I get the feeling that most parents and parents-to-be can't help but judge childfree people (especially couples). How do you feel about them?

I wouldn't buy a double buggy, she probably doesn't want to be in the stroller much longer, I would rather go for a buggy board which you can attach to the buggy. On prams.net they have a good collection, they also have general ones which fit with almost any buggy.

God, tantrums are so frustrating and draining! I never experienced them with my DC, but I've seen my nephew throw a terrible temper tantrum last night. He was throwing things, kicking anyone who would approach him and screaming at the top of his lungs. Reminded me of the movie Excorcism!  Anyway, my SIL asked her son's teacher about this problem, and she advised a book called Tears and Tantrums. Said it always helps. Don't know if it wll help my nephew, but just wanted to share this info. Good luck:)

I am not a single parent, but my sister is. And in my opinion, it is not THAT hard only when you have a support from your family, or when you have a good career. Otherwise it is one of the biggest challenges in the life of a woman.

If you're asking about dating events, then London Singles Club do that. If you mean meetups for parents to socialize and their children to interact with each other, then you'll like their events too. I think they organise them all around the country, so whichever city you live in. you'll find something for you. 

Baby Bjorn is really supportive, I absolutely loved it!

DS is 3. He likes watching movies at home, but he is not very good at sitting still for hours really. He can be quite a handful sometimes. I don't want to spoil the movie for others so I'm wondering what age is best to introduce kids to cinema.
