London Parents ("we") is a community for parents in London and across the UK. We respect your privacy and collect only the data the site cannot work without. Your data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect

Account data: email address, username, password hash (we never store the password itself), registration date.
Profile data you add yourself: photo, first and last name, date of birth, area, children, contact details.
Your content: forum posts, comments, listings, reviews, photos.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, sign-in times — for account security and spam protection.

Why

so you can sign in, chat and post content;
to send service emails (email confirmation, password resets, notifications you have switched on);
to protect the community from spam, fraud and hacking.

What others can see

Your username, photo, public posts and any profile details you have marked as public. Your real name, address, phone number and email are marked as confidential and are never shown to other members.

Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. It is stored on our servers; technical providers may be used to deliver emails and protect forms from bots, only to the extent needed for those tasks. Data may be disclosed to public authorities only where required by law.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: to keep you signed in and to protect forms. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can view and change your data in your profile settings, download or delete your account (delete account), and get in touch via our contact form.
