About
More detailsWith New London being a relatively young theater (doors opened in 1973),
it’s no surprise that musicals are the mainstay. Andrew Lloyd Webber
commandeered the joint in 1981, installed ‘Cats’ and promptly left it
there to run and run until 2002. Since then there’s been ‘Gone With the
Wind’ and ‘Imagine This’ as well as the love them or hate them Blue Man
Group. The theatre may yet redeem itself with the transfer of the
National Theatre’s critically-acclaimed production of ‘War Horse’.
