8 months and not crawling - should I be worried?

My son is 8 and a half months old. He sits beautifully, rolls everywhere, babbles constantly. But he shows zero interest in crawling. Put him on his tummy and he just lies there looking offended.

Meanwhile every baby at our Wednesday group seems to be zooming around. One of them is pulling up on furniture at 7 months.

His 9-12 month review is coming up but I keep lying awake about it. Is this normal?

Totally normal. Some babies skip crawling altogether. Mine went from bum-shuffling straight to walking at 13 months. The "offended on tummy" look made me laugh, that was my daughter exactly.

My first crawled at 6 months, my second at 11. Same parents, same house, same floor. They just do things in their own time.

Nanny for 15 years here. Rolling everywhere is mobility. He's getting around, he's just found his own method. If he's using both sides of his body, sitting well and interested in the world, that's the stuff that matters.

Bring it up at the review if you're worried, that's what it's for. But from what you've described, I wouldn't be.

Update: we did the remote trick. He did a sort of commando crawl backwards and ended up under the sofa. Progress? Health visitor said at the review he's doing everything he should be. Feel a bit silly for worrying, but thank you all.
