Used: phone charger with a LONG cable, lip balm, dark towel, massive pants, snacks, slippers, a water bottle with a straw.
Didn't use: the nice nightie, the birth playlist, the hair straighteners (don't judge me).
Straw water bottle times a thousand. You will not be lifting your head to drink.
Your own pillow with a coloured pillowcase so it doesn't get mixed with hospital ones. Hospital pillows are like crisp packets.
From the dad side: snacks for your birth partner too, and change for the car park machine or the app downloaded. I spent a stressful 15 minutes on that at 3am.
A cheap eye mask and earplugs if you're on the postnatal ward. It is noisy all night.
Earplugs and coloured pillowcase added. I'd never have thought of either. Thanks!
lol at the straighteners. my wife packed a full skincare routine and then used one wipe in three days.
