Half term is coming and as usual I'm WFH all week with the kids. My partner can't take time off. Last time ended with me on a Teams call while my son shouted that his sister had stolen his Lego.

What actually works? I'm especially keen on cheap things they can do semi-independently.

Projects. Give them a big one on Monday - build a cardboard city, make a film, write a newspaper - and let them work on it all week. They'll keep coming back to it.

Book ONE morning club or activity for the busiest meeting day. Even a three hour drama morning saves your sanity.

Libraries! Most London libraries do free half term activities. And the Science Museum is still free if you go out at lunch.

I'll be honest - I just let screen time go a bit during work hours in the holidays and stopped feeling guilty about it. They're fine.
